My favorite holiday of the year. As I wrote in a previous post, on this day all families make an altar in their homes because the souls of dead relatives come to visit us. This is the altar in my house ;v; with photos of our relatives, flowers, fruit, "bread of dead(?)", coffee, beer, water, tequila... and that Coca-Cola and the bag of snacks are for my grandfather XD he liked a lot hahaha! And you can see the chocolate skulls too ;v; with the names of our relatives... yeah~ many; my 2 grandfathers, my grandmother, their brothers and/or sisters, and some relatives that only my parents knew, like my 4 great-grandparents. OH! you can see a photo of my cat too! I don't care what people could say: she is a realtive too! >83 she was with us for 15 years so she deserves to be on the altar TwT I like to think that her little soul can come visit me ;o;
On this day many people visit their relatives in the cemetery directly. We went two weeks ago to visit my grandfather's grave and decorate it with many flowers. In those days people started to do the same.
I went to my school yesterday and the Offerings Contest had begun! Students of different careers created their own altars. The offerings has issues about what they are studying, such as nursing, medicine, chemistry, biology, dentists, etc. Some altars are fun XD I photographed this altar with the "spirits" of important people in psychology hahaha. I wish Freud could analyze me XD
